The Journey

The Journey course provides a roadmap for a structured study, albeit not comprehensive, of the Old Testament, New Testament, the Gospels, and other selected topics.

The ultimate goal is not to “take a class just to take a class,” but to start (or continue) a journey that will lead us to a deeper personal relationship with Jesus. The individual courses use a variety of media, including videos, podcasts, books, and other textual material.

For the most part, material from the Bible Project will provide a single location for students to access course material. Courses generally meet weekly for 2-12 weeks beginning with each school semester (Fall & Spring). Note that there will be other courses offered that don’t follow the Journey roadmap, although they fall under the overall Vine University umbrella and are additional learning opportunities on specialized topics. They will be listed under the “Current Courses/Future Course subtab(s).

Typical Course Schedule

The classes are offered in sequence, but you don’t have to take them in order. However, we do recommend taking Inro. To the Hebrew Bible and Heaven and Earth sequentially, as the latter builds on the former. The Journey course is spread over two calendar years with breaks for summer vacations.
