Chosen Season 4 Bible Study

Tuesdays Mornings - Led by Shandra Cameron

Discover the ways God's goodness eclipses our suffering. We see it - if we're looking: the Bible promises that God brings good things out of bad things for His people and glory's sake. But the truth be told, when we personally experience suffering, we have difficulty believing it.

In this official companion to season 4 of The Chosen, the groundbreaking television series about the life of Jesus, God's Goodness for the Chosen parallels each episode., revealing how God uses suffering to bring about good in the lives of those He loves.

Just as it was for the early followers of Jesus, suffering is a painful reality of life. But the hard things we experience are always eclipsed by the bigger things God is doing in and through them. This means that even in our suffering, we can know and hold fast to how radically good God is.

Future Bible Series

Simply Jesus-- 2025 -- stay tuned for further details.

This book-based study by renowned Bible scholar, Anglican bishop, and bestselling author N. T. Wright explores the barriers that prevent us from fully engaging with the story of Jesus in the Bible. He presents a captivating vision of Christ that aligns with the needs and complexities of our time.

We have grown accustomed to the debates surrounding Jesus—whether he was human or divine, whether he performed miracles or simply inspired them, and even whether he actually existed. Many in the church defend their traditions while critics challenge their beliefs and institutions. But what if these arguments obscure the true story of Jesus?

Wright encapsulates a lifetime of studying Jesus and the New Testament to help a general audience understand who Jesus was and is. In *Simply Jesus,* we are invited to hear one of our leading scholars introduce the story of the carpenter’s son from Nazareth as if we were hearing it for the first time.

"Jesus—the Jesus we might discover if we really looked," explains Wright, "is larger, more disturbing, and more urgent than we had ever imagined. It is we, the churches, who have been the real reductionists. We have reduced the kingdom of God to private piety, the victory of the cross to a source of comfort for the conscience, and Easter itself to a happy, escapist ending tacked onto a sad, dark tale. While piety, conscience, and ultimate happiness are important, they are not nearly as crucial as Jesus himself."

As the church confronts the various challenges of the twenty-first century, Wright presents a vision of Jesus that effectively addresses these issues.

Book of Judges (Deborah) -- 2025

Ask yourself what you would fight for? Why is it worth fighting for?

Are you willing to step out on faith and trust God for victory?

Join the esteemed scholar and professor Dr. Sandra L. Richter as she explores the era of the Judges through archaeological records, historical geography, cultural context, and the realities of warfare in the ancient world. This eight-session Bible study invites you into the compelling story of the era of the 12 judges, including Deborah. As a follower of Christ, it challenges you to consider where God wants to expand His kingdom in your sphere of influence today.

The Book of Judges recounts one of the most chaotic and morally dark periods in Israel's history. It is during this morally ambiguous time that one of the most unlikely leaders of the biblical text emerges—the prophet Deborah. As a wife, mother, priest, and judge, Deborah rises to her calling, transforming chaos into order by leading Israel to one of the most significant victories of her times a Christ-follower, it challenges you to ask yourself where God wants to expand his kingdom in your realm of influence today.
